Why Book a Stay in a Bamboo House in Bali?
Bamboo houses have become a popular accommodation choice in Bali for travelers seeking more sustainable and eco-friendly options. Harvesting and using bamboo doesn’t damage the environment, as the material grows quickly and uses less energy during building.
Overall, the bamboo houses in Bali offer a look into the island’s culture and commitment to sustainability, making them a unique part of the Bali experience. But they definitely also make an incredible location to unwind and take some fantastic photos!
When to Book Your Stay in a Bali Bamboo House
The best time to stay in Bali is during the dry season, which runs from April to September. During this time, the weather offers the best sightseeing, especially when you plan on snorkeling, diving, or hiking.
However, these are also the busiest months of the year (July and August), in which places like the Ubud Monkey Forest can get very crowded. Because of this, we recommend visiting around March/April or September/October. During these shoulder seasons, the weather’s still nice and warm, with few showers during the day.
This is also right before harvest time, with vibrant and green rice terraces. If you plan to book a stay in one of the bamboo houses in Bali, make sure to arrange your accommodation in advance as they quickly fill up.
How Many Days in Bali?
Though there is a lot to see and do around Sidemen and Ubud, part of the island’s philosophy is also about relaxation. Take your time to lounge in the best bamboo houses in Bali, swim in the property’s natural pools, or watch the sunset over Mount Agung from one of the hanging nets. How long you stay in Ubud or Sidemen depends on the rest of your Bali itinerary, but both locations are worth exploring for at least a couple of days.
